COOP Online

This one-hour online course provides an overview of the continuity of operations (COOP) planning process and synthesizes what can be complex material into a framework that is more readily recognizable and actionable.

By the end of the course participants will gain an overview of COOP planning and its relationship to the emergency planning cycle, the manner in which COOP planning can support the continuation of the essential functions, and the range of COOP resources and templates.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:

Describe the function of a COOP Plan within the Emergency Management Cycle
Define the three phases of the Assess, Build, Maintain COOP planning cycle
Recognize the nine core elements of a COOP Plan
Describe the purpose of COOP planning-related templates and where to locate them
Identify best practices to plan the process and implement a successful COOP program

Target Audience:

Hospital, Community Health Center, and Long Term Care managers responsible for developing a COOP plan, as well as staff who may be involved in the COOP planning process or the activation of the COOP plan

Accreditation offered:

This program was designed to meet the requirements of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing, 244 CMR 5.00 for 1.2 contact hours of nursing continuing education.

Certificates

In order to receive a Certificate of Training, you must complete the final assessment with a minimum grade of 70%.
