Course Description

Welcome to the Massachusetts CHEMPACK Training Program. The CHEMPACK program is a part of the CDC's Strategic National Stockpile program and is designed to pre-position antidotes to expedite the treatment of individuals exposed to chemical nerve agents.

These modules will provide training for all first responder, public health, public safety, and health professionals who may be involved in responding to a nerve agent incident. Designed by the Harvard School of Public Health's Center for Public Health Preparedness—which has since transitioned into a Preparedness and Emergency Response Learning Center (HSPH-PERLC)—and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, this training program was developed as part of the CDC Centers for Public Health Preparedness grant.

This course is intended primarily for first responders, first receivers, and additional hospital personnel.

Certificate of Completion:

In order to receive a Certificate of Completion, you must complete one or more module (s) of the Mass Chempack training program and the course evaluation that is linked at the end of each module. Certificates are mailed to students once a month.

Funding

The DelValle Institute for Emergency Preparedness is the Education & Training branch of the Office of Public Health Preparedness. The DelValle Institute provides high-quality all-hazards training and exercises to develop and enhance capabilities-based preparedness. This training delivery is offered through a contract with the Office of Preparedness and Emergency Management at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH), with funding from the Office of Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) Hospital Preparedness Program.
