Held May 24th, 2022, the first session of the Unmet Needs series examines the possible long-term impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on community health needs, capacity issues and the vital services these issues impact, and how we can meet current and future health needs of our clients and patients.
As with any disaster, the COVID-19 pandemic is leaving in its wake a broad range of impacts on the health of our community, and on our health and social services infrastructure. To take on the incredible challenge of long-term recovery, we must understand the scope of unmet needs, generate cross-discipline solutions, and keep our focus on improving organizational and community resilience.
Held and organized by the DelValle Institute of Emergency Preparedness, the Unmet Needs COVID-19 recovery series is an exploration of emerging unmet needs following in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. This series is geared towards public health and healthcare providers, social service and human service providers, emergency managers, and policy makers.
