This course provides a summary of the purpose and structure of the CHEMPACK program, part of the part of the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS), including details specific to its implementation in Massachusetts. The first module provides a general overview of the CHEMPACK program, including the key roles of agencies involved in the program and a brief explanation of the potential impact of nerve agent incidents. Module 2 uses a response process flowchart to walk through the CHEMPACK procedures in the field and for hospitals, including incident notification, deployment of assets, and patient treatment. Module 3 reviews the responsibilities for host hospitals, including CHEMPACK container storage and maintenance, as well as steps for mobilizing the CHEMPACK assets.
